Welcome to the website for the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Regulators Network

This site acts as a provincial regulatory directory for the majority of health care regulators in our province. Visitors to this site can access the contact information for each regulator and their corresponding professions by visiting the directory button on this page.

Each individual regulator provides an invaluable service to the people of our province. When Newfoundlanders and Labradorians receive services from a health care professional, they can have confidence and trust that the services they receive are safe, competent and meet a specified standard of excellence. This is what we do. This is why regulation exists, and why it is so important.

Regulators have many vital roles. Each has a mandate under provincial legislation to ensure that professionals are licenced, registered, and practice using a specified standard of excellence. Regulators act to ensure that professionals engage in continuous learning and use best practices throughout the span of their careers. In the event that a Newfoundlander and Labradorian receives care that they feel does not meet this standard, the regulator may investigate these complaints. Regulators may also provide professionals with tools and supports to facilitate in the delivery of quality care that is safe and competent.

While there may be differences between each regulator and profession, they all have one thing in common, The NL Health Regulators Network is committed to ensuring that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians receive Health Care services that are second to none.
